Bella LaQuatra: My biggest fear is not rising into my full power and not using my authentic voice to help others do the same.
FW: The pit of the Fearless Warrior Yoga Conference is exploration into our current experiences and excavation of our previous experiences. What life experiences are part of what brought you to want to present at the 2nd Annual FWYC?
BL: So many people are subconsciously taught to become paralyzed and stunted with the fear that something is "wrong" with them.
They’re pre-conditioned to believe in a right and wrong, and when things start going “weird” they’re put into some kind of program or treatment that labels them as being "diseased and disordered." I grew up being diagnosed as manic depressive, anxious, bipolar, an addict, and anorexic. In actuality, I was simply sensitive.
I didn't start to grow and heal until I stopped labeling myself and started looking at the things that made me "different" as sensitivity, and not dysfunction. When I started understanding that I was a finely tuned radio and not damaged goods in a junkyard, I was able to start making choices and cultivate thought processes and practices that nourished my being.
We all are given education and life experiences, it's just a matter of how we chose to work with them. I am not defined by where I've been, but rather where I've arrived and continue to venture.
My purpose in life is to help others do the same with the tools, trades, and knowledge that I used to find my own truth and recovery. That’s what Practical Spirituality & Transformational Development are about: The Evolution.
FW: We totally feel your excitement about presenting on 10.9.16. Can you tell us why you're stoked to lead?
BL: Because it's time to get disruptive. Practical Spirituality & Transformational Development are about much more than saying "namaste" and going to heated power vinyasa class while sipping Kombucha.
Millennials are a generation changing the way we view and interact with the world around us. We are conscious, driven, awake, and hungry to build something beyond what we perceive as the current limitations.
From Buti Yoga, private sessions, online programs, in person workshops, retreats, and course curriculum, everything GenY Gypsy is geared towards breaking down old obstacles and paradigms to transform your reality from the ground up.
If you’re sick of the fluff, beating around the bush, plus repetitive and mind- numbing cycles that keep your soul starving and you stuck in a developmentally stunted space, then GenY Gypsy is right for you. The offerings are designed only for those willing to create actionable and sustainable change. It’s time to get down to the nitty-gritty work of growth and expansion.
FW: That's rad! How will fear play into your session? What can we expect?
BL: From a young age, we are conditioned to RESPOND and REACT out of FEAR. Through the resources given in GenY Gypsy programs, participants are given PRACTICAL + APPLICABLE tools to reprogram their minds & bodies to move from a mind (ego) space to a heart (soul) space. It’s from this place of center that we are able to eliminate fear from our mental process and conversation.
Sessions are NOT for those of the faint of heart, those unwilling to do the work, or those into the "hippie dippie fairy fluff" of alternative health. No heart chakras vibrating or third eyes making rainbows (although chakras are a very important assessment tool and energetic centers for evaluation).
When I show up, I promise to give you nothing but 100% RAW and AUTHENTIC feedback/leading/story-telling.
No BS, no sugarcoating, just hardcore millennial WERK.
FW: All good things! Finally, what do you intend our group of yogis and truth seekers to get out of your session and how do you plan to accomplish that?
BL: When people walk away from a Buti Yoga class, they feel an undeniable sense of authenticity, camaraderie, and physical/energetic activation. When people participate in any of the GenY Gypsy programs, they walk away with a sense of revelation, perhaps an "a-ha" moment. The key is sustainable, measurable and actionable change, and that's what I'm setting the stage for.
