"They are not defects such as laziness or greed, which we may or may not have. They are wave patterns of interference that stem from our glorious individuality, biological, psychological and spiritual. They are the fundamental misapprehension of the relationship that the part (our individual selves) has in relationship to the Whole (Nature and Divinity)."
So, what exactly are the five kleshas spelled out?
- Avidya: Ignorance
- Asmita: Ego
- Raga: Attachment
- Dvesha: Aversion
- Abnivesha: Fear of death
Join me at the Fearless Warrior Yoga Conference to study the kleshas and understand how they work in our lives and within the microcosm of our yoga practice. When we're able to notice the negative, the unwanted and the subversive qualities that keep us from a tranquil mind, they begin to lose their potency and we can become...fearless!
